Our Story

משהו בעברית. It says something in Hebrew.

In 2007, our United Synagogue Youth group ordered hoodies with a simple phrase written in Hebrew: משהו בעברית. It literally translates to "something in Hebrew."

For the next 15 years, the same conversation played out hundreds of times:

"Hey - what does your hoodie say?"

"Something in Hebrew."

"No, I mean - what does it actually say?"

"...Something in Hebrew."

"Wait - seriously?"

Laughter. Every single time. 100% hit rate.

People kept asking where they could buy one. For 15 years, there was no answer. Now there is.

Every purchase feeds families in need.

Something in Hebrew is more than a joke on a hoodie. Every product sold donates meals to families in need through Feeding America - the nation's largest hunger-relief organization.

  • Backpacks donate 100 meals.
  • Hoodies, sweatshirts, mugs, and totes donate 50 meals.
  • T-shirts, hats, water bottles, and accessories donate 10-25 meals.

Today, 47.9 million Americans live in food-insecure households. 14.1 million of them are children. Every purchase moves that number.

The joke is the product. The cause is the point.

Something in Hebrew was built to answer a question people kept asking for 15 years. It exists because a hoodie made people laugh - and because laughter is a lot more powerful when it's attached to something that matters.
